Headed to the beach this weekend to pick up the littleb. Now we’re all loaded and headed back to (mostly) reality…
Spring Break
The Wee-b and I headed back to the beach this weekend to pick up the littleb after his spring break. We managed to jump in the car with the Giz around 3 on Saturday afternoon and got there just after 7. Pretty awesome timing considering that we were driving in the middle of the day on Easter weekend.
We parked the car and got the Giz situated and then headed around the side of the house so that we could throw out some of the trash that we had amassed on the way there. Just as we opened the gate we were confronted with the littleb, silly string and a ton of balloons! It was a massacre. We were hit from all directions. Not to mention that the kiddo had told us he hadn’t had his hair cut and we were then presented with this..
Apparently this was our April Fools joke…Funny kid 
He and I have been playing Pokemon on the DS and he went to the trouble of putting together a pokedex for me which is pretty neat. Now we’e both playing the same version of Pokemon, which means we can battle against each other…although im not really looking forward to having my butt handed to me on a silver platter.
The three of us jumped on the bed after dinner and relaxed for an hour or so to try and wind down after the drive. Man…i have the big <3 for my little family.
We decided to stay the night on Saturday night and drive home on Sunday like we did the previous weekend. It was actually a really nice drive home, we stopped a couple of times along the way to stretch and eat, but we still made it home around 5pm. The Giz is super happy to have his buddy home again.
Driving
It’s kind of weird to me how much I am missing the littleb right now. He called us last night and wanted to talk to me about the idea of adopting another dog when we got our house.
“I think we should get a basset hound..”
“Oh, really? A basset hound?”
“Yeah”
“What are we going to call it?”
“Bob. Bob and Gizmo”
“Got it. Alrighty then..”
Yeah I miss the shit out of that kid. And don’t let the Weeb fool you…he misses the shit out of him too.
Hips, Knees and Feet
We took a drive to the Beach this weekend to spend some time with Wee-b’s family…i guess my family now (almost) too Jumped in the car latelatelate Friday night and managed to get there in about 3 hours. It was actually a very speedy trip…absolutely no traffic on the road. Littleb spent most of the ride sleeping in the back of the car using Giz as a pillow. And of course that damn dog just loves that kid and puts up with everything he dishes out.
Managed to scoot over to the mall on Saturday afternoon, and scored new glasses for Wee-b for an amazing price. We found the frames online at an antique store and then got prescription lenses fitted to them. My handsome, handsome man now looks like a total spunk with his spiffy new specs
Originally we had planned to come home late Saturday night, but the Wee-b and i decided to hang out for one more night and left the beach early on Sunday morning. Wee-b took me home via the scenic route and we got to see a lot of the REAL virginia…that and some Ordinary, VA.
I managed to catch some of the more cheesy looks the Giz throws out to the camera every now and then. My dog is a H-A-M…but we love him so.
Happy to be home, but it was nice to be so welcomed.
