1. Where are you from?
I was born in Western Australia and lived all over the country until 2002 when I moved to the Washington DC area. I have been living here ever since.
2. What made you decide to start Strewth?
I originally started writing on Strewth to keep my family back home up to date on my life. Once I met Brian and we bought a house, it evolved into more of a DIY blog…but I still only believe that my family reads along 
3. What do you do?
I work for an Interior Design Firm located in the metro DC area. I actually have a degree in Environmental Science, so this isn’t necessarily the career I thought I would have…but it turns out, it’s definitely the career I love with all my heart.
4. How did you meet your robot-husband?
Online! We met for the first time (in person) at a local coffee shop and I decided then and there that I liked this soft spoken wee-man. Apparently he thought i was a little nuts (how right he probably was!) but was still happy to hang out. We watched a lot of movies, drank a lot of slurpies and spent a lot of time together. We bought a house in 2010 and got married September 10th 2011 in our backyard. He is my best friend and favourite goofy-goober.
5. Where do you get your craftiness from?
100% from my mum 
From the time I was really little I remember my mum being ridiculously crafty – in fact one of my favourite memories was receiving a shoe box full of clothes for my barbie doll, that she had sewn, for Christmas. My mum got me hooked on longstitch as a young girl, then cross stitch..and eventually she bought me my own sewing machine. I’m not a pro by any means (in fact, what’s the opposite of pro?) but I do enjoy any time I spend with my crafty side.
