Fairly good weekend 
I managed to knock out my work day on Saturday and then headed straight back out to Microcenter to pick up onw of these bad boys, in the hopes that it might allow me access to the restaurant harddrive as everything else so far had failed. I figured a $20 investment was nothing if i could salvage all the info for the Chef.
Well low and behold the damn thing worked!
Knowing that I was able to get all the data off the HD now, I spent some more time putting the original machine back together, along with a new HD. I set it up to format and reinstall windows and called it a night.
Sunday morning I got up I was woken up by the cutest dog in the world (lucky for him), so we made some coffee and sat outside for a while before heading back in to tackle the machine for the last time. I feel like I need a crowd wave of some sort…this was a major pain in my ass and I really didn’t think i was going to be successful in fixing the damn thing.
As i was doing some more work on the machine of death, I got a call from Ms. Pants to see if i wanted to meet her for coffee as she needed to vent about her squishy cat and figure out what to do about a trip she had planned this week. I packed myself up and got my butt over to the coffee shop and we proceeded to sit and chat for 2 hours. It’s always good catching up with Ms. Pants, I miss being able to see her as much.
Another great event that happened this weekend (i know you’ll understand) is that I finally found a dress that i love. Yes mum, i said a dress, perhaps I should have told you to sit down first. I found it online, so it’s on order and now i just get to wait and twiddle my thumbs until it gets here….photos will be forthcoming. I was kind of planning on seeing GD yesterday afternoon, but poor bugger got stuck at home working on a migration issue all day. So instead, the Giz and I hung out and got stuff done around the house.
So…a couple of hours at work today and then I am planning on driving the pc back to the restaurant and trying to get it all set back up again. We’ll see how that goes
