Happy Mothers Day |

Dear Mum,

I know without a doubt in my mind that i have the best mother in the world…and thankfully there are so many other people out there that would agree with me because you have always adopted every single one of my friends and treated them like they were your own. Even when they might not have understood everything you said (Miss M i’m looking in your direction)

You have always been there for me, no matter what stupid thing i get myself in to and i want to tell you that i appreciate this more than anything else. Even though you are more like my best friend, you have never once stopped being my mum and i love you for that. Thank you for trying to carefully point out when I was being extra stupid, or for kicking me in the butt when i wasn’t paying attention to things that I should have been. You are an amazing person inside and out and I am thankful every day that i get to call you my mum.

There are certain times of the year when it hurts to be so far away from you and this is always one of them. But i take comfort in knowing that Poppy Jack has probably bought you chocolates (hee!) and Basil will be talking to you ALL DAY LONG.

I have started counting the days til i come home again….not long now. I miss you mum – Happy Mothers Day!
